A Hot Ticket From Napa

November 7, 2019

I wanted to quickly share a wine of incredible value that will be a stunner for upcoming holiday parties, Rutherford Ranch’s 2016 Two Range Napa Valley Red. This wine has been a hot ticket here in the store in the last weeks, with it’s ripe dark fruits and modest price point. The blend of the wine varies slightly from year to year, but is a composition of Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc… all of whom’s goal is to showcase the unique microclimate of the Napa Valley. The wine sees 14 months in French Oak, resulting in a silky, ripe, and nuanced red. Aromas of plum, cassis, and mocha are all found here with layers of spice adding character. The wine is a big and full bodied red, to be sure, but there is inherent structure to the fruit that doesn't allow any one characteristic of the wine to fall out of balance.

Basic use of a search engine has this wine listing anywhere from $20-25 per bottle, which is completely reasonable for Napa fruit, but our price here today is $15.99. Let us know if you would like any at this buy-by-the-case price!
