Now, to keep the summer wine train rolling, Flint & Steels 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is positively peachy... and I do mean that as a tasting note. Massive aromas of peaches and other stone fruits jump from the glass with touches of melon and lime zest adding interest. This is Napa Valley wine so there is a nice richness on the palate and textured flavors of guava wrapped around this medium bodied white. There is a flinty, mineral acidity on the finish which is not always seen in Napa, hence the name Flint & Steel. This is a fun and crushable summer wine at a price rarely seen for fruit coming out of the Napa Valley. The 2016 Flint & Steel Sauvignon Blanc retails for $14.99 a bottle and is due in Friday so let us know if we can set some aside for you!
